Stocks to watch Monday: VeriFone, Casey’s


SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Among the companies whose shares are expected to see active trade in Monday’s session are VeriFone Systems Inc., Casey’s General Stores Inc., and Nutrisystem Inc.

U.S. week ahead: new iPad?

VeriFone PAY +2.35%  is expected to report fiscal first-quarter earnings of 52 cents a share, according to analysts surveyed by FactSet Research.
Nutrisystem NTRI +0.24%  is forecast to post a loss of 2 cents a share in the fourth quarter.
Casey’s CASY +1.67%  is estimated to report a profit of 44 cents a share in the fiscal third quarter.
After Friday’s closing bell, The Wall Street Journal reported that Citigroup Inc. C -0.35%  chairman Richard Parsons will not seek re-election at the bank’s annual shareholder meeting on April 17.
Also, General Motors Co. GM -0.08%  will reportedly halt production of its Chevy Volt electric car for five weeks.
