TheStreet highlights notable earnings and economic data to watch for the week of September 21. The companies reporting their latest quarterly data include Lennar (LEN), Red Hat (RHT), Carnival (CCL), General Mills (GIS), AutoZone (AZO), ConAgra Foods (CAG), CarMax (KMX), Darden Restaurants (DRI), Nike (NKE), Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY), Pier 1 Imports (PIR), and BlackBerry (BBRY). Additionally, there are several economic reports set to be released. On Monday, we have the existing home sales report. Then Wednesday, we get the MBA mortgage applications along with the PMI manufacturing index. Thursday is a full day with durable goods orders, jobless claims and new home sales. On top of that, Janet Yellen is set to speak at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. This will be her first public appearance since the Federal Reserve decided this past Thursday not to raise interest rates. Finally, we get GDP numbers on Friday.
