Stocks to watch Monday: Acuity, ServiceNow
CHICAGO (MarketWatch) — Stocks that could see active trading on Monday include Acuity Brands, ServiceNow, and AB InBev.
Acuity Brands (NYSE:AYI) is set to release its third-quarter earnings on Monday. The lighting-equipment company is expected to earn 79 cents a share on revenue $492 million, according to a survey of analysts taken by FactSet Research.
ServiceNow’s (NYSE:NOW) initial public offering contributed to Friday’s tech-stock rally. Among the first tech companies to go public after Facebook’s IPO fell flat, shares gained 37% on Friday and may well see active trading on Monday as the tech market continues to buzz.
Research in Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM) may also see active trading in the tech market, though it has so far missed out on the tech rally. It reported a loss of $518 million in its first fiscal quarter Thursday and a delay in the release of its next operating system, BlackBerry 10. Following an after-hours slump on Thursday, it lost 19% in trading on Friday.
Another to watch is AB InBev (LES:UK:0O1Z) , which gained 5% on Friday following its announcement of plans to buy the remainder of Crown Imports Ltd., a joint venture with Grupo Modelo SAB de CV (OTN:GPMCY) , a Mexican brewer, that it does not already own.
